The film “City Island” won the audience award of the recent completion of Tribeca Film Festival 2009 in New York. City Island is directed by Raymond de Felitta and starring Andy García and Julianna Margulies as a marriage of a family with secrets that everyone hides the fabric is woven. The actors Alan Arkin and Emily Mortimer complete the cast of this film winning popularity. This is a comedy thriller, where Raymond de Felitta us along on a journey of dreams in New York harbor areas we had never seen before.
According explains De Felitta in the presentation of the film, despite having lived in the Bronx, had never heard of City Island, a small island of fishermen on the shores of New York City. He was reading “Escapes” in the New York Times that he learned of the existence of the island. He visited with his wife and loves, then he had an idea to make a movie about a family, which later became the film tells the story. He explained that the angle of New York had not been exploited before.
