A normal family man and his wife move to a normal typical American suburb. However, the family has a secret mission: they are part of a marketing campaign to promote the purchase of luxury items. After her husband’s work into crisis by the fault that generates its work, the woman will actually falling in love with him.
An independent-style comedy directed by a newcomer, Derrick Borte, who also wrote the screenplay. Amber Heard is the daughter of the family and complete the distribution of the tape.
Amber Heard, Demi Moore (”Mr. Brooks”), David Duchovny (”X-Files”), Gary Cole, Glenne Headly and Chris Williams star in “The Joneses”, a drama based on a critical look at consumerism.
The synopsis of “The Joneses”, introduces us to Steve and Kate Jones (Duchovny and Moore), both embody the “perfect” family, with their wonderful children are the envy of the neighborhood elegant, surrounded by mansions and all the paraphernalia upper middle class. Kate is beautiful, sexy, dressed head to toe with the brands of renowned designers. Steve is a successful and admired businessman who has it all: an enviable wife, a big house and an endless supply of high-tech chicha. But as the neighbors try to keep up with the Jones-style, might not be ready for the truth hidden behind this family too perfect.
Derrick Borte his directorial debut with this long, has his own script based on a story by Randy T. Dinzler.
